I started this piece earlier tonight just playing with shading, not really intending to finish anything. I've been wanting to practice shading and painting and whatnot so I thought I'd give it a whirl... And then it got out of control, I stayed up hours more than I intended, and I got to something that I was starting to like... And then I thought I'd slap some colors on it and call it done, although if you look closely it's a bit messy. Still, I'm pretty happy with it.

You say it's messy but I see it as being full of depth and warmth, plus more than a little emotion. There's a very three-dimensional feel to her as she leans forward and twists her hips on her feet. She certainly seems to have a seductive look about her, but to me it seems obvious that she's doing a little dance as she shows off her more romantic side. It's great to see her having fun and letting her true feelings show through a bit, whether it's just a general desire or, more likely, for the benefit of some bonehead she's trying to get up and dance with her. (Maybe he comes from a long line of great dancers.

Really great picture man. The figure. The legs/thighs, the eyes. Just everything looks great man.

Did you try anything new with your style here? I almost feel like this is slightly different than some of your previous Ruby pictures, as far as proportions....

They're slightly different, but that was not entirely intentional, since this started off as me messing around. I did like how it looked so I didn't change it.
